Peking University, Beijing, May. 9th, 2009: The 47th College Track and Field Games ended in Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics on May 5, 2009. PKU team won men's group A, women's group A, men and women groups A, men and women groups AB, all four group championships and an Award for sportsmanship. A total 15 gold medals, 8 silver and 8 bronze are achieved in the four-day games by PKU team, which is the best accomplishment the team has ever got since 1990.

College Track and Field Games in Beijing is the most influential traditional sporting events. In the previous 13 years’ Games, Tsinghua University has earned a consecutive champion title of men and women groups A.

After the event, Zhang Yan, Deputy Party secretary of the school went to the scene to congratulate the coaches and athletes of the outstanding achievements. He encouraged the students to carry forward the spirit of sports to their everyday life and study, meanwhile infuse the young, health, vitality of movement into campus.
