One-stop Online Outpatient Service of Peking University Third Hospital launched on WeChat

Peking University, December 2, 2016: Recently, Peking University Third Hospital has launched its one-stop online outpatient service on WeChat, providing patients with brand new accesses to all-round services. With the help of the service, patients are not only able to apply for cards, make mobile appointments, pay bills, check test results and evaluate medical service, but also to enjoy various information inquiry services including tracking the expenses.

The WeChat platform of Peking University Third Hospital starts to accept online appointments at 7:10 am everyday. Patients who have successfully made an appointment through the WeChat platform can see a doctor directly without having to queue. Except those with medical insurances who have to settle their payments physically, they can pay the bill through the platform by only a tap on the screen.Online payment has optimized the stream of medical services by reducing the patients’ waiting times.

The platform has also made the test result query available on WeChat. It has now opened the result query of ultrasonic cardiogram, ophthalmic testing and gastrointestinal motility, and other result queries will be made available to patients gradually.

It is known that Peking University Third Hospital receives over ten thousand patients each day. The one-stop online outpatient service on WeChat will greatly facilitate the medical treatment and reduce the time patients remain in the hospital.
