President of PKU People's Hospital Talks about New Medical Reform

Peking University, Beijing, April 30th, 2009: Wang Shan, Director of Peking University People's Hospital, talked about the new medical reform as the main guest in the TV program “Dialogue” on CCTV-2 at 10 pm of April 26th. The program discussed in detail about the role which public hospitals play in the health care reform, the pressing needs of the reform and the management for the hospitals. It paid great attention to the new practice mode of urban medicine with the community health service system designed by PKU People’s Hospital as an example, and caused a widespread concern in public.


"Dialogue" is a studio talk show that has been launched since 2000 on CCTV. It’s a CCTV brand program with high-end, cutting-edge, realistic style. "The recent key plans of health system reform" has received much attention. "Dialogue" took the unique perspective as the manager of a public hospital in the 45 minutes’ program “Dialogue - N types of practice in the new medical reform” to demonstrate the practice modes in the medical reform.


As the manager in a public hospital, Wang Shan was invited to be the main guest in the program. He analyzed the challenges facing hospitals and talked about the new medical reform in the eyes of a director on the basis of exploration and practice the PKU People’s Hospital did in the integrated community health service system, the full implementation of the overall planning of HRP hospital resources and other reform models.
Peking University People's Hospital had done innovative exploration in the concept, awareness and models of medical and health services in recent years. It’s a reward to the hospital that takes CCTV "Dialogue" section as an exchange platform.
