Peking University, May 5, 2018: On May 5, 2018, “Dance in May” Campus Ball is held in No.1 Gymnasium. The ball is organized by PKU Department of Physical Education and held by PKU Ballroom Dance Club. Participants include PKU faculty members, students, alumni and alumna, as well as dance-lovers from Tsinghua University.
PKU Dance Team warmed up the ball with Modern Dance and Latin Dance performances. Then, all participants formed a circle to do Bunny Hop and Polka. The lively dances shortened the distance between participants quickly. After that participants were taught some basic dance skills and they started to try different kinds of dance, including waltz, samba, social dance etc. Everyone enjoyed this beautiful summer night.

The ball is said to be a warm-up event for the upcoming annual Social Dance Show on June 3 and the 24th Dancer’s Cup Open Championships on June 10. It offers more people opportunities to appreciate and experience dance.
