Peking University Third Hospital awarded the first title of “China’s most beautiful hospital”

Peking University, May 25, 2018: From May 19 to May 21, the 19th China Hospital Construction Conference/ Hospital Build & Infrastructure China Exhibition & Congress (CHCC) was held in Wuhan, Hubei Province. Over 500 experts and scholars from home and abroad were invited as guest speakers, and more than 4,000 administrative leaders in relevant fields attended the conference as well as academic lectures.

At the conference, the China Hospital Construction Prize committee commended and gave awards to institutions or individuals which stand out in contributing to domestic hospital construction. Among the institutions praised, Peking University Third Hospital was awarded the first title of “China’s most beautiful hospital”.

Experts and scholars from Peking University altogether delivered keynote speeches in eight panels and took part in discussions. Jin Changxiao, secretary of the party committee of Peking University Third Hospital, delivered a keynote speech entitled “Innovation in Internet medical service system of large-scale hospitals” as the host and guest speaker of the panel featuring hospital planning and the application of the Internet of things (IOT) technology. Li Shuqiang, vice president of Peking University Third Hospital, gave a speech entitled “The Synergetic Development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei: Constructing an international hospital branch of Peking University Third Hospital in Beidaihe” as the host of the panel where plans and equipment of the Reproductive Medicine Centre were discussed. Wang Jianquan, Zhaoqixia, Wu hongping and Zhou Weibing drew people’s attention to critical topics including multidisciplinary diagnosis, life support system and economic evaluation of logistics system.

During the conference, Li Shuqiang and Zhao Qixia were appointed the first chairmen of two newly founded study groups respectively focusing on building materials and freight transportation of hospitals. Meanwhile, the sample of “Guidebook to Hospital Parking Facility Design” edited by Zhao Qixia is released to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Peking University Third Hospital.
