Professor Chen Bo elected as a member of IIP

Peking University, August 20, 2018: Professor Chen Bo from Peking University was elected as a member of Institut International de Philosophie (IIP) through  a series of procedures on August 15th-17th, 2018. He became the only successful member among three candidates this year.

Professor Chen Bo has published nearly 20 research papers in philosophy and logistics A&HCI journals since 2007. He has held 7 international seminars on philosophy and logistics since 2011 and served as one of the major organizers of 100
th celebration seminar for Department of Philosophy at PKU in 2012. He was invited as one of the editorial board members or reviewers of many journals on philosophy and logistics, and thus has kept a close communication with his international colleagues. Recently he attached great importance on original philosophy research and participation in international philosophy community.

Institut International de Philosophie (IIP), founded in Paris, France, 1937, is the most prestigious academic organization and honored community in philosophy. The aim of this organization is to gather philosophic elites all over the world and improve the well-being of all human beings. According to the regulations of IIP, the total number of formal academicians cannot exceed 115. There were 66 formal and 39 honored members before this conference, including 3 Chinese members. They are Tu Weiming, Yang Guorong and Qiu Renzong (honored member).
