Symposium on Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Reform and Opening-Up held

Peking University, Dec.11, 2018: On the afternoon of December 8, Symposium on Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Reform and Opening-Up was jointly held by China Internet Information Center and Peking University at PKU Global Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, which attracted more than 350 attendees.

Before the symposium, Qiu Shuiping, chairman of Peking University Council, delivered a welcome speech and expressed his thanks to China Internet Information Center for its positive coverage of and support for Peking University.

The symposium

The symposium invited five influential guests, including Fu Zhihuan, former minister of China railways, Astronaut Yang Liwei, Wang Yiqiu, former executive vice president of Peking University, Chen Wenling, chief economist at China Center for International Economic Exchanges, and Chan Kam-lam, former member of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. In their keynote speeches, they talked about their life-changing stories and recounted the history and achievements of various industries since the beginning of Reform and Opening-Up.

During the discussion, the guests exchanged views on the future of Reform and Opening-Up as well as on issues of development and innovation. Their brilliant answers in the Q & A session won enthusiastic applause many times.
