Peking University, Dec. 18, 2018: On December 14, the 2017-2018 Communication Conference of Award for Mentoring Excellence & Annual Scholarship was held at Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center in Peking University. Secretary-General Li Yuning of Education Foundation at Peking University hosted this meeting.
During the Exchange Meeting
In the meeting, Vice President Wang Bo from Peking University firstly expressed his gratitude to the donors for their generous support. He concluded the speech by stressing that, with the kind help from the society, Peking University would surely make great progress in the future.
After Professor Wang Bo, the donor representatives respectively delivered their speeches. Mr. Cui Yong, representing the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Ltd., sincerely hoped that their ICBC STAR Scholarship could encourage more students to choose finance as their vocation. Likewise, Mr. Liu Zhenfei, one of the donors of Wang Xuan Young Scholar Fellowship, expressed his concerns about cultivating excellent scholars of sciences. He also wished that this support would help plenty of researchers to make further breakthroughs in their studies.
During the next session, Professor Sun Qixiang, one of the beneficiaries of KGKF (Kerry Group Kuok Foundation) Award for Mentoring Excellence, gave a speech about his teaching experience and future expectation of advanced education. Later, Li Zhuoran, a student beneficiary of Founder Scholarship, showed a great sense of responsibility in her speech by promising that she would make good use of this help to achieve her academic pursuit. At the end of the meeting, all beneficiaries thanked the donors for their funds and support. To return the favors, Peking University gave the Dedication to Education Award to donors presented as souvenirs.
