Peking University signs strategic cooperation agreement with Bank of China

Peking University, Dec. 31, 2018: The signing ceremony of PKU-BOC Strategic Cooperation Agreement took place at Bank of China on the evening of December 27. BOC Chairman Chen Siqing and PKU President Hao Ping were present.

Chen noted that given the remarkable achievement resulted from the past bilateral cooperation, BOC is keen to forge closer ties with PKU as a pivotal step to support PKU’s ambition of developing into a world-class university.

Hao Ping highly acknowledged PKU’s partnership with BOC, saying that the premium financial services offered by BOC has been a backbone of PKU’s development in various aspects. He added that the Agreement indicates a broader extension of the existing sound partnership between both sides, and more support from BOC is expected as PKU is striving to become a world-class university.

According to the Agreement, there will be a wider range of collaboration between PKU and BOC, including corporate finance, personal finance, talent cultivation and even the cooperation in running schools, which will instill fresh impetus into PKU’s pursuit of becoming a world-class university.
