Co-sponsored by the World Wildlife Fund (WWW) and Global Focus, the program was aimed to improve the entrepreneur and practical skills on climate and energies, to extend the climate entrepreneurship awareness, make reasonable proposals to investors and policy makers and thereby promote the development of low-carbon economy in China.

After one-year of surveys in four major economic development zones and interviews with 48 units, the report focused on the theme of low-carbon economic development in China, illustrated relevant domestic policies and international influences, analyzed the development situation and features of major industries and areas, and proposed suggestions how to seize the opportunity and overcome the challenge.

According to experts, the low-carbon economy mainly addresses the climate change problem and reducing the greenhouse gas emission, with low emission and high efficiency as its development features. It includes making low-carbon policies, developing and applying low-carbon technologies and products, and taking steps to ease and adapt to the climate change.
