Peking University Committee of International Relations holds the first meeting

Peking University, April 26, 2019: Peking University Committee of International Relations held its first session of meeting at Yingjie Overseas Exchange Center on April 18. PKU President Hao Ping, Vice President Tian Gang, committee members and relevant faculty members were present.


At the meeting

Hao Ping pointed out that establishing the Committee of International Relations will contribute to the development of PKU governance system and he hoped that the well-functioning committee could offer top-level designs and strategic planning in decision-making. PKU will continuously promote its internationalization level by bringing in more international talents, keeping up with the frontier of international scientific research, and improving management services.

This meeting had two agendas: to examine the “Peking University International Development Strategy” and to discuss the “Synthetic Chemical Biology Lab Program” co-launched by Peking University, University of Hong Kong and Imperial College London. The committee members also exchanged views on the future collaboration with leading research institutes around the world.
