Peking University placed 22nd in the latest QS World University Rankings

Peking University, June 20, 2019: Peking University has achieved 22nd place in the latest QS World University Rankings, soaring from 30th in the previous year. It is also the highest ranking that Peking University has obtained since QS published the list for the first time in 2004. The surge puts Peking University in top two among all the Chinese mainland universities on the list, demonstrating excellence in teaching, research and student accomplishments.
According to Quacquarelli Symonds, a London-based higher education consultancy known as QS, the universities were measured based on a wide range of criteria, such as academic standing, graduate employability, student-staff ratio, research impact and internationalization. “Chinese universities are continuing to perform well and are increasingly receiving high scores for their research impact,” QS revealed.
