PKU Faculty of Sciences names Xiaoliang Sunney Xie new dean

Peking University, Nov. 11, 2019: Professor Xiaoliang Sunney Xie is an internationally renowned scientist of biophysical chemistry. He is a member of the US National Academy of Sciences, and the US National Academy of Medicine, along with the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. In 2017, he was elected as a foreign member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
On November 6, 2019, the official employment of Professor Xie as PKU Dean of Sciences was made. PKU President Hao Ping, Director of Organization Department Chai Zhen, former Dean of Sciences and President of Capital Medical University Rao Yi, Xiaoliang Sunney Xie, and related officials attended the ceremony.
