PKU offers nucleic acid tests for all faculty, staff and students

Peking University, July 6, 2020: On June 28, starting at 6:00 a.m., 40 medical staff from Peking University First Hospital and 68 more from Peking University Hospital conducted nucleic acid tests on all faculty, staff, and students currently on campus. Outside Peking University Hospital, where the sampling point was, participating members wore facial masks throughout the whole process. Everyone made sure to observe safe distancing by standing approximately one meter apart from one another. Participants received the tests in an orderly manner under the guidance of on-site medical staff. By noon, a total of over 8000 members from PKU were tested.

 
The nucleic acid test is a crucial measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19 on campus. On June 23, Peking University started registering nucleic acid tests for teachers and students, and worked out a detailed plan to carry out the tests in batches. Peking University will continue to play an important role in the efforts to prevent the spread of the pandemic on campus, as well as providing strong support for all members in the university during this crucial time.
