"Together as One" - Peking University to hold the 14th International Culture Festival

Peking University, October 28, 2017: Peking University’s annual International Culture Festival will be held on Sunday, October 29, 2017. The theme for this year’s International Culture Festival is “Together as One”, where students from all over the world are anticipated to come together as a community to forge close-knit friendships.

The International Culture Festival is a unique platform where the world’s brightest minds are given the opportunity to meet each other. The diverse enriching activities enable students to have genuine conversations, bring up with new ideas, and expand their horizons to become a more global citizen. This year, there is a total of 65 countries and regions participating in 79 booth exhibitions, 22 countries and regions involved in culture cuisine, and more than 30 Chinese and foreign students stage performances. The Youth Forum on the “One Belt One Road” Initiative will be held concurrently, and the theme is “Responsibilities and Commitments of Youth”. More than 100 national ambassadors, international organization officials, expert scholars and youth delegates will gather to discuss the “development of One Belt One Road Initiative after The 19th session of national congress of the communist party of China” and other related topics, which students from Peking University will lead the discussion.

14 years since its inception, the International Culture Festival has become an established and renowned multicultural event — a reflection of Peking University’s expectation to forge harmonious international relationships in their campus culture.
