Peking University, Dec. 16, 2018: On December 14th, Sok Touch, president of Royal Academy of Cambodia, led a delegation to visit Peking University. Hao Ping, president of Peking University (PKU), received the delegation at Linhuxuan. Also presented were Dean of PKU School of Foreign Languages Ning Qi, Deputy Dean of School of Foreign Languages Wu Jiewei, and Deputy Director of PKU Office of International Relations Yan Jun.
During the meeting, Hao Ping pointed out that as an important stop in the Maritime Silk Road, Cambodia, with its long history and glorious culture, created an immortal chapter in human civilization. This year marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Cambodia. Sok Touch’s visit to PKU further enhanced the bilateral cooperation between the two universities.
Sok Touch expressed gratification to the warm reception. He then gave an introduction about Royal Academy of Cambodia, including the department settings, academic research, etc. Sok Touch said, PKU is famous for its long history and strong academic research capabilities, so he hoped two universities could further cooperate in varied aspects.
