Carlos Holmes Trujillo García visits Peking University

Peking University, Dec. 14, 2018: On the afternoon of December 14th, Carlos Holmes Trujillo García, minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Colombia, visited Peking University and delivered a speech. Hao Ping, president of Peking University, and Wang Bo, vice president of Peking University, met with Trujillo。

Hao Ping expressed warm welcome to Trujillo's visit. He said that Colombia is one of the most important countries in South America. The two presidents of Colombia have visited Peking University, and many students of Peking University have gone to Columbia’s universities to continue their study. At present, there are six Colombian students studying at Peking University, and Sandra Salamanca Rosas, minister plenipotentiary of the Republic of Colombia, has graduated from Department of History, Peking University. As one of China's international platforms for cultural and educational communication, Peking University will further promote exchanges and strengthen cooperation with Colombia in the area of culture and education, so that more people can learn and understand the culture of Colombia.


Trujillo delivering speech

Trujillo said that Peking University, with a history of 120 years, is one of the best universities in China, from which Colombian universities can learn much. He is very willing to promote exchanges between Columbian universities and Peking University. He also welcomes students from Peking University to visit Columbia.

Subsequently, Trujillo delivered a speech entitled "Colombia's Foreign Policy" and interacted with students on the spot.
