Elsevier Chairman Youngsuk ‘YS’ Chi visits Peking University

Peking University, Jan. 16, 2019: On the morning of January 10, Chairman of Elsevier Youngsuk ‘YS’ Chi visited Peking University. PKU President Hao Ping, accompanied by Vice President Tian Gang and other school leaders, met Chi and other distinguished guests at Linhuxuan. 

Chi introduced how Elsevier supported the work of researchers by providing data tools and how these tools forwarded scientific advances at universities. Hao Ping welcomed Chi’s visit and thanked Elsevier for its strong support to Peking University in publishing as well as data collection & analysis, etc. Hao said that Elsevier's work was of great significance to the development of scientific research at PKU, and he wished to establish a comprehensive cooperative relationship in analyzing the trend of cutting-edge science and technology. Tian Gang proposed that both sides can establish a cooperative framework so as to motivate all the scholars involved.
