Peking University, Waseda University and Tingyi (Cayman Islands) Holding sign cooperation agreement

Peking University, June 25, 2019: On June 14, 2019, the cooperation agreement signing ceremony among Peking University (PKU), Waseda University and Tingyi (Cayman Islands) Holding Corp. was held at Peking University. Participating in the meeting were Hao Ping, president of Peking University, Aiji Tanaka, president of Waseda University and Wei Hongming, chairman of Tingyi (Cayman Islands) Holding Corp.

In his address, PKU President Hao Ping said that Waseda University is a first-class university in Japan and cooperates closely with Peking University. Tingyi (Cayman Islands) Holding Corp., as a well-known enterprise, highly values the cooperation with universities at home and abroad. Therefore, the cooperation among Peking University, Waseda University and Tingyi (Cayman Islands) Holding Corp. is a successful example of school-enterprise cooperation. Hao Ping hopes that the three parties will maintain close ties with each other in the future.

In addition, this was Waseda University President 
Aiji Tanaka's sixth visit to PKU and he has personally experienced the tremendous changes in China and PKU in the past few decades. He expressed the hope that the friendship of three sides would be further consolidated and deepened in the future, and the cooperation would be further promoted.

Wei Hongming said that the prosperity of both the country and enterprises requires knowledge innovation. He hopes that the resources at university can inject impetus to the transformation and upgrading of enterprises, which will in turn lead to the development of national education and scientific research.
