Honorary president of the Juilliard School Joseph W. Polisi visits Peking University

Peking University, July 1, 2019: On June 13, Joseph W. Polisi, honorary president of the Juilliard School, visited Peking University. Hao Ping, president of Peking University met with the delegation at Linhuxuan.

Hao Ping extended his warm welcome to Polisi’s visit. He pointed out that as one of the world's top professional music schools, the Juilliard School has set up its first overseas campus in Tianjin, marking an important achievement of China-US cultural exchanges. Hao Ping hopes that this visit will further promote Peking University’s cooperation with the Juilliard School in New York, Tianjin Juilliard School, Tianjin Conservatory of Music and Tianjin.

Polisi expressed his heartfelt thanks to Peking University for its hospitality. He introduced that the Tianjin Juilliard School Foundation Program will be launched in September this year and the postgraduate program will be initiated in 2020. He emphasized that Peking University and Tianjin Municipal Government are the best partners of the Juilliard School. He hopes that Tianjin Juilliard School will have a positive impact on China-US cultural exchanges and further bring China-US relations closer.
