Georgian Ambassador Archil Kalandia visits Peking University

Peking University, Oct. 10, 2019: Georgian Ambassador Archil Kalandia visited Peking University on October 8. Vice President of Peking University Tian Gang, accompanied by others, welcomed the delegation in Linhuxuan.

Tian Gang introduced the achievements of PKU delegation’s visit to Georgia in June last year. He stated that PKU had set up a Georgian course, attracting more and more Chinese students to learn about Georgia and Georgian. Also, he expressed his hope that there should be more cooperation between Georgian and Chinese universities. Students and scholars of Georgia and PKU should exchange more extensively as well.

Kalandia thanked for PKU’s warm reception. He said that both China and Georgia have long history and unique culture, creating conditions for the two countries’ cooperation in humanity, education and healthcare. He was pleased to provide opportunities for PKU’s students to exchange in Georgia, which would not only help them learn about Georgia’s language and culture, but also deepen their understanding of the policies and environment of the Middle East.
