President of University of Bergen visits Peking University

Peking University, October 27, 2019: On October 24, Dag Rune Olsen, president of University of Bergen (UiB), Norway, led a delegation to visit Peking University. PKU President Hao Ping and Vice President Wang Bo met the guests at Lin Hu Xuan.
Hao Ping showed his welcome to the visit of Dag Rune Olsen and the delegation, saying that University of Bergen has a long history and good international reputation. He also expressed his hope to cooperate with University of Bergen to provide PKU students a valuable opportunity of learning Norwegian language and culture, as well as to carry out exchanges and cooperation in language, archaeology, law, science, and many other fields.
Dag Rune Olsen said that Peking University has a profound historical culture and is renowned for its high schooling level, while University of Bergen is devoted to cultivating students’ global vision and has established cooperative relationships with many universities around the world. He believed that this visit would promote collaboration and exchange between the two universities.
Hao Ping and Dag Rune Olsen signed a Memorandum of Understanding and a student exchange agreement between the two universities.

The delegation would also visit Peking University Law School and PKU School of Earth and Space Sciences.
