Abstract: 

I will provide an overview of the latest developments  in the study of singularity formation and resolution in compressible Euler equations, with a specific focus on the Lorentzian geometry of the acoustical metrics.
Bio: Pin Yu is a professor at Tsinghua University. He received his PhD from Princeton University in 2010. His research focuses on nonlinear wave equations.
