Abstract: In an effort to encourage young scholars to foster a spirit of creativity while being rooted in Chinese culture, the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences launched the Xingquan Book Prize for Young Scholars in 2024, in which 40 books have been qualified and 5 awarded. The awarded books cover a wide range of topics ranging from a deep analysis of Chinese culture to a reflection on world history and order. To further promote the Prize and share the insights of the awarded authors with a view to facilitating more outstanding works in the humanities, the Institute will host a series of symposiums, each featuring one awarded author. Open to everybody, the first of the series will be held on May 17, and will be focused on discoveries from stone carvings in the last twenty years and also an analysis of medieval history.
