Abstract: As AI’s explosive growth heralds a new wave of technological revolution, its impact is also spilling over into humanities and arts, previously considered the last bastion of human creativity. Though traditional ways of making art risk becoming obsolete, it’s worth noting that there have always been some elements of technology woven into the process of artistic creation. In the same vein, AI might not be so much a disruptor as a contributor in the creation, dissemination, and appreciation of art. Thus, it is necessary to look past AI’s threat of replacement and examine possible breakthroughs it can bring to art and human limit.
In addition to the sub-forums themed on art theories, music, drama, art history, film, culture industry, design, and English, this year’s forum will have a new sub-forum focused on computerized art, encouraging attendees to have in-depth discussion on AI and its definition.
We are now seeking insightful theses that can help dispel the mist of mystery surrounding AI.
