[Online Information Session] English-Taught PhD Program in the History and Theory of Art

Thinking about pursuing a PhD in art history, art theory, arts management, musicology, or film studies?

The Peking University School of Arts invites prospective international applicants to an online information session for its English-Taught PhD Program in the History and Theory of Art. Applicants interested in Art Theory, Art History, Cultural Industry and Arts Management, Musicology, or Film Studies are welcome to attend.

Since its launch in 2020, the program has welcomed doctoral students from the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Belgium, Sweden, South Korea, Malaysia, Canada, and Brazil. The program offers full-time doctoral study in English across five areas: Art Theory, Art History, Cultural Industry and Arts Management, Musicology, and Film Studies.

The session will feature School of Arts Dean Li Yang, Vice Dean Liu Chen, and Professors Matteo Ravasio and Michael Cavayero, together with current PhD students and recent graduates. They will introduce the program and share first-hand perspectives on studying and conducting research at PKU.
