Strict epidemic prevention and control methods were implemented. A self-developed crowd density analysis system was employed to ensure that the registration venue was not overcrowded. Peking University Computer Center also introduced smart systems to measure progress of registration, facilitate registration via facial recognition, and calculate the number of freshmen present in the venue. This made registration safer and more convenient for the freshmen.
