Peking University, October 12, 2022: During the National Day holiday, the Student Career Center of Peking University held a variety of career guidance activities that benefited more than 200 students, providing them with opportunities to interact with career advisors, PKU alumni, and prospective employers.
Conversing with Career Advisors
On October 1, the Career Center held two afternoon tea sessions in the Peking University Centennial Hall. Career advisor Hou Lan and PKU alumna Li Mei were invited to the event to speak with the participants. Drawing from her wealth of experience in career guidance and human resource management, Hou shared that career planning is not just about job hunting, but also planning one’s life, which is why it is important to start early.
Li shared about her job seeking journey, including her experience in refining her resumes, preparing for interviews, and eventually choosing from her job offerings. It was a candid and lively sharing session amongst the participants and the guest speakers.
