Aligning with the Mid-Autumn Festival, which falls on Sep 29 this year, the clubs and societies fair this year had a twist: aside from the interactive booths, stage performances and stamp-collecting activities, a Mid-Autumn Festival themed event was held on September 24. Three interactive Q&A stations were set up at the event, and eventgoers were able to receive festival-themed souvenirs. The Q&A questions ranged from Mid-Autumn Festival culture and traditions to PKU clubs and societies trivia.

In the meantime, there were also a range of creative themed booths by various student associations. The Linux Club utilized augmented reality and generative modeling technology to conjure up a virtual image of the full moon. The Railway Culture Association designed “a way home” with the railway map of China, while also providing taste-testers of mooncakes from various regions.

Eventgoers also participated in festival games, decorative fan making and mooncake making activities prepared by the Yanyuan Cultural Heritage Protection Association, experiencing the allure of traditional Chinese culture. The contagious excitement of the festival spread throughout the campus, forming a dazzling autumn scenery.
Let’s hear what our fellow PKUers have to say about the Clubs and Associations Fair!
