Cao’s performance was a rendition and rearrangement of the original solo piece composed by the Japanese artist Angela Aki, which was written as a letter to her younger self on her 30th birthday. This song’s narrative structure, addressing a 15-year-old self, expresses one’s yearning and longing for life.
