Peking University, October 17, 2023: At the invitation of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Mauritius, a Peking University Health Science Center (PKUHSC) delegation of nine, including Fu Wei, president of PKU Third Hospital, Sun Qiudan, director of PKUHSC Office of International Cooperation, among other experts, recently went to Mauritius to conduct field research. 

The delegation visited the Mauritius Ministry of Health and Mauritius Hospital to promote cooperation between China and Mauritius.

During the visit, Zhu Liying, the Chinese Ambassador to Mauritius, Commercial Counselor Qu Ying, and the delegation met with the Minister of Health of Mauritius Kailesh Kumar Singh Jagutpa.


The delegation also went to Victoria Hospital for field research and held in-depth exchanges with the local medical personnel during their stay in Mauritius.


The two-day trip was packed and fruitful. The two sides not only enhanced mutual understanding and friendship but also established close ties. 

The trip also represents a concrete action to serve the national strategy, further consolidate and expand China-Africa cooperation, inject vitality into the bilateral cooperation in the field of health, and create more opportunities, eventually benefiting the two peoples and contributing to the building of a shared community for human health.
