Peking University, May 24, 2012: Danish Ambassador Friis Arne Petersen took part in a summit hosted by the National School of Development at Peking University (PKU) on May 15.
The theme of the summit was “The Euro Debt Crisis and Influence on China-EU Cooperation” and attracted a lot of local academics and business people. The event was centered around three keynote speakers and a following roundtable discussion.
The Ambassador participated in the roundtable discussion on the recent development of Euro Debt Crisis and its impact on China as Ambassador for the EU Presidency country, where the latest development in Greece was debated at an academic level.
Several high profile speakers also attended the summit, including Mr. Costas Simitis (Former Prime Minister of Greece), Mr. Cheng Siwei (former Deputy Chairman of China’s NPC Standing Committee), Mr. Jin Liqun, (Chairman of the Board of Supervisors of China Investment Corporation).
