PekingUniversity. Beijing. Sep 23, 2009: On the afternoon of Sep 21, the naming ceremony of the Library of the Graduate School of Education was held in the lecture hall of the School building. The delegation of the K. P. Tin Foundation headed by its chairman Dr. Tin Ka Ping and trustee Mr. Tian Dingxian flew to Beijing to attend the ceremony, accompanied by the University leadership.

In his sincere and moving speech, Dr. Tin Ka Ping encouraged the younger generation to be useful and modest, cultivate good qualities, and strive for the bright future of the nation. President Zhou Qifeng hoped the students would learn from the inspiring life stories of Mr. Tin, be willing to share and sacrifice, and contribute to the enhancement of education in the country. The University Secretary and Dean of the Graduate School of Education Min Weifang, spoke highly of the enormous contributions of Dr. Tin to the improvement of education in the Mainland China and Hong Kong. He said that Mr. Tin’s support to the School Library would benefit the School faculty and students by creating a better reading environment and providing more academic resources in the field of education.

At the end of the ceremony, a bronze medal and a special gift were presented to Dr. Tin as deep appreciation.
