In bloom: Yan Yuan marching into spring

Petals have stretched and unfurled.
Weiming Lake, after months of icy slumber, has awoken.
Black swans and their brood glide across the water with glee.
The campus is cloaked in luscious green.
One hears chatter and feels the breeze.
All of these things announce the arrival of spring onto Peking University's Yan Yuan campus.
Pink cherry blossoms line the roads outside teaching buildings, and yellow wintersweet flowers adorn iconic University architecture. Everywhere is teeming with life. Spot a squirrel on a tree, fish splashing through the water, birds singing a spring song. Mingle with the busy students and professors walking to their next class and hear the laughter that seems to echo up to the blue skies.
Spring has descended onto Peking University, what a sight to behold!
