Peking University, Dec. 19, 2012: Professor Li Yihu from the School of International Studies at PKU was elected as academician of the International Eurasian Academy of Sciences (IEAS) recently.
On the IEAS Chinese Science Center’s sixteenth conference, Li was awarded certificate by Jiang Zhenghua, Executive Dean of IEAS and former Deputy Chairman of China’s NPC Standing Committee.
The Center this time awarded certificates to 14 academicians in such fields as medical, environmental, chemical, biological, and social sciences. The new blood of IEAS is expected to make a louder voice for China in the global academic circles.

Background Info:
The IEAS is an international scientific organization made up of famous natural scientists, engineering and technical experts, management and social scientists in the world. Now it owns more than 600 academicians, administers and honorary members from 46 countries.
The establishment of IEAS in 1994 reflected the current global trends of regional reorganization and economic globalization. It aims to advance the development of science and technology in the world, solving a variety of problems, especially the technical ones concerning sustainable development in Eurasian.
