Peking University, Dec. 4, 2012: Wang Hao, junior of School of Journalism and Communication of Peking University (PKU), shared championship with Russian players Sergey Karjakin and Morozevich in the 2012-2013 FIDE Grand Prix Series. The second stage of the 2012-2013 FIDE Grand Prix Series took place from November 21 to December 5 in the Gallery of Fine Art in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. This was Wang’s second time to win world chess championship since he broke the world record this August in Biel Bienne Chess Festival in Switzerland (http://www.bielchessfestival.ch/).

Wang Hao is currently the leading chess player in China. After he won the championship of Biel Bienne Chess Festival this August, Zhu Shanlu and Zhou Qifeng jointly sent him congratulation letters speaking highly of his tenacity and self-improvement. With the encouragement, Wang Hao performed outstandingly in the later world chess competitions, gaining honors for both China and Peking University.
