PKU professors and alumni receive the Chinese Physical Society Lifetime Contribution Award

Peking University, November 22, 2022: On the evening of November 18, the Chinese Physical Society commemorated the 90th anniversary of its founding. Held at the Southern University of Sciences and Technology, the ceremony was graced by experts and scholars from the Chinese Physical Society and its sister organizations, universities, and research institutes. 

The ceremony announced the first batch of awardees for the Chinese Physical Society Lifetime Contribution Award. Of the 10 senior physicists awarded, there were 8 PKU professors and alumni, as listed below:

The first batch of recipients of the Chinese Physical Society Lifetime Contribution Award

Founded on August 23, 1932, the Chinese Physical Society has made historic contributions in leading and promoting the development of physics in China, as well as playing an important role in promoting innovation and rewarding young students. In recent years, the Chinese Physical Society has established extensive collaboration and exchanges with many national/regional physical societies, such as those from the U.S., Europe, Britain, and South Korea.
