Peking University, March 27, 2023: A delegation from China's Ministry of Science and Technology, led by Director General Dai Gang of International Cooperation, recently visited the China-ASEAN Science and Technology Cooperation Center for Public Health at Peking University Health Science Center (PKUHSC). The delegation held talks with PKUHSC President Qiaojie, Vice President Wang Jiadong, and Dean Zhan Siyan of the PKUHSC School of Public Health.

During the meeting, Prof. Zhan provided an overview of the China-ASEAN center, which is an initiative of the School of Public Health under the leadership of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the PKUHSC. She highlighted the coordinating efforts by the PKUHSC Office of International Cooperation and Department of Research Affairs.

Director General Dai recognized the center's role in advancing China's national diplomatic strategy and promoting inter-governmental cooperation in science and technology. He also praised the progress the center had achieved so far and pledged to support its further development.


Prof. Wang expressed his gratitude to the Ministry for its support and reaffirmed the PKUHSC's commitment to the center.

The China-ASEAN Science and Technology Cooperation Center for Public Health is an important platform for facilitating cooperation and exchange in this area, and its further development will undoubtedly contribute to the advancement of public health in the region.
