Peking University, May 18, 2012: The PKU-Yale Joint Undergraduate Program (Spring 2012) Graduation Ceremony was held in Leo Ko Guan Building at Peking University (PKU) on May 18. Lu Xiaodong, Vice-Dean of Yuanpei College, Shen Xiaohong, Director of the Yale Program, professors and staff members from both universities attended this ceremony.
Shen reviewed her own story about Yale University and summarized the development of the program in the past few years.
In the following session, Lu made a congratulation remark and he hoped that PKU and Yale students would have a better mutual understanding on American and Chinese culture through this program.
Launched in September 2006, PKU-Yale Joint Undergraduate Program recruits over ten students from individual university to live together and take classes offer by professors of two universities. For these undergraduate students, it is a new attempt in cross-culture education, which is believed to be able to make students see the world with multi-perspectives.
