Peking University, June 18, 2012: The relics and photos exhibition about Hu Shi was jointly held by Beijing Memorial Hall of New Cultural Movement and PKU library on June 18.
The opening ceremony began at 10 a.m in PKU Library. Leaders and professors from PKU delivered speeches to stress the great contribution of Hu Shi to New Cultural Revolution and modern education, and to hope for a success of this exhibition.

This is another exhibition of such scale, following the one held in the Beijing Memorial Hall of New Cultural Movement which achieved a great response. This is a collection of the precious book collection, files and relevant information of Hu Shi from the Beijing Memorial Hall of New Cultural Movement, PKU library, Institute of Modern History of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Hushi Memorial Hall in Taipei. Nearly 120 original and copies including manuscripts, letters, books, photos, certificates, scrolls and stationery covering 7 periods titled as early schooling years, Literature revolution, Academic leader, Academic messenger, President of Peking University, Later years and Family and friends.
This exhibition gave people a general introduction of Hu Shil’s life and academic, philosophical and cultural contributions, as well as his relationship with modern distinguished personages.
