Peking University, Apr. 10, 2013: Aiming at building a more effective connection between college students and recruiters, the "China College Students Career Pipeline Program" was launched at PKU on April 8.

This program, which belongs to the public welfare cause, establishes a cyber platform - "www.daxuesheng.jobs" to provide jobs and internships for Chinese university students. To enhance efficiency, information on the platform can be filtered according to regions, company types and vocational interests.

In recent years, with the increasing number of college graduates the job market in China has become tougher and tougher. University students face a highly competitive environment. While finding satisfactory employment poses a huge challenge to graduates, many companies struggle to fill their positions with suitable employees.

"The purpose of the program is to solve this problem," said Hong Guimei, deputy director of China Youth Center for International Exchange, "we plan to build a bridge between students and employers, enabling the two sides to both get what they are looking for  within the shortest time." She summarized the goal of the program as to "shape the talent for company and guide the career path for talent."

The website is built upon the ".jobs" platform which is a globally successful network system, with a database in which more than 90,000 enterprises are registered, including 634 companies from the global top 1000.

The opening ceremony seemed like a promising start, bringing together delegates from renowned companies, such as Hyundai Motor or Korean Air, and from prestigious universities, such as Peking University and Tsinghua University.

With further development and increasing popularity among companies and students, the program hopes to provide tens of thousands of jobs and internships from domestic and international companies for Chinese university students in future.
