Peking University, May 24, 2013: On May 19, the PKU Association of Risk Management and Insurance (ARMI) held an activity to disseminate general insurance knowledge in Haidian Park.

Volunteers from ARMI prepared "General Knowledge about Risk and Insurance" brochures and handed them out to passers-by. They also introduced to them the basic classification and function of insurance, common problems in buying insurance, and the six most important insurance policies in one's lifetime.

Dong Wenshan, chairman of ARMI said, "As the market demand of the insurance industry is growing fast, this activity aims at popularizing knowledge of buying insurance and preventing people from getting cheated."

"We hope to let people know that insurance is actually a valuable investment instead of swindles as some people may imagine," said Wang Yiyu, one of the organizers, "In the future we will collaborate with the insurance departments of other universities in Beijing and organize more such activities to deepen people’s understanding of insurance."
