Peking University October 10, 2024: From September 23 to 28, 2024, Gong Qihuang, President of Peking University (PKU) and the academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, led a delegation to the United States to strengthen China-U.S. academic collaborations. The delegation participated in the "10 + 10" Presidents' Forum of Top Universities in China and the U.S.

23-25 September, The "10 + 10" Presidents' Forum, co-hosted by Peking University, focused on artificial intelligence in education and advancing China-U.S. academic cooperation. With over 80 guests from American and Chinese universities, the forum highlighted new models of international collaboration on education. Gong emphasized the significance of the Beijing Center of University of Chicago and the Chicago Center of Peking University in promoting joint training and scientific research. University of Chicago President Paul Alivisatos expressed interest in expanding current collaborations between the universities.

On 26 September, Gong attended a special reception at the Hoover Institution for Jonathan Levin's inauguration ceremony as the new President of Stanford University.
During the visit, PKU delegation also visited the Chinese Consulates General in Chicago, engaging with alumni, donors, and representatives of other Chinese universities. Gong expressed gratitude for the support of the alumni and Bay Area donors, emphasizing their contributions to the university's recent achievements.
