Peking University, December 4 2024: On November 26, 2024, Professor Geraint Rees, Vice-Provost of University College London (UCL), led a delegation to visit Peking University. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Professor Zhang Jin, Vice President of Peking University, at the Linhuxuan Hall.
Professor Zhang Presents a Souvenir to Professor Rees
Zhang expressed a warm welcome to Rees on his first visit to Peking University. He reflected the longstanding and fruitful collaboration between the two universities across various disciplines and highlighted the potential for future cooperation in key areas such as life sciences, artificial intelligence, global health, chemical materials, health engineering, and environmental sciences.
He noted that the partnership between Peking University and UCL serves as a model for global educational and research collaboration and also emphasized the importance of fostering interdisciplinary research and innovation through mechanisms such as joint training programs, summer schools, and student exchanges, particularly in alignment with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).Group photo taken during the visit
