UAE Delegation Eyes Expanded Cooperation in PKU Trip

Peking University, November 25, 2025: Hajar Al Thehli, Secretary-General of the Education, Human Development and Community Development Council of the United Arab Emirates, led a delegation to Peking University (PKU) on November 20, seeking to expand cooperation in education and AI development.
 
Welcoming the delegation at Linhuxuan, Jiang Guohua, Vice Chair of PKU Council, confirmed PKU’s readiness to expand people-to-people exchanges and invited UAE universities to join the Digital Intelligence – International Development Education Alliance (DI-IDEA). He then expressed hope that the two countries would expand cooperation in smart teaching and learning, engineering technology, and medical science and technology.

Hajar Al Thehli highlighted the UAE’s emphasis on the application of AI technology in education, and expressed hope to strengthen AI course building, teacher training and technological innovation through a joint effort with PKU. Furthermore, she stated the UAE’s commitment to enhancing bilateral ties with China through cooperation in science, technology, and education. 

After the meeting, the UAE delegation toured the Institute for Artificial Intelligence, gaining first-hand insights into PKU’s latest research outcomes on AI-empowered education, scientific innovation and development of interdisciplinary studies.
