President of Lincoln Institute of Land Policy Visits Peking University

Peking University, May 11, 2026: George W. McCarthy, president and CEO of the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy, led a delegation to Peking University (PKU) on May 8, 2026. 

The delegation was warmly received at Linhuxuan by Gong Qihuang and Zhang Jin, president and executive vice president of PKU. In his welcome remarks, Gong noted that, through joint efforts of both sides, the Peking University-Lincoln Institute Center for Urban Development and Land Policy (PLC) has become an influential platform for academic research and policy studies on urban development and land policy in China. Gong expressed appreciation for the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy's long-standing support and reaffirmed Peking University's commitment to continued cooperation in scientific research, policy consultation, and talent cultivation.

McCarthy thanked Peking University for its warm hospitality and praised the PLC's achievements over the past nearly two decades. Looking ahead, he also expressed hope for stronger collaboration and increased international exchange between the two sides.

Following the meeting, McCarthy and Zhang Jin jointly attended the annual Management Committee Meeting of the PLC. Representatives from relevant schools, departments, and administrative offices of PKU also participated in the event.
