Peking University, May 18, 2026: On May 11, a delegation from the Youth Assembly of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan visited Peking University (PKU). The delegation was led by Timur Jumurbayev, chairman of the Youth Assembly, and was received at Linhuxuan by Ning Qi, vice chair of PKU Council and vice president of PKU.
Ning Qi extended a warm welcome to the delegation. She reviewed the history of friendly cooperation between PKU and partners across Kazakhstan, noting that against the backdrop of the deepening permanent comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Kazakhstan, PKU is prepared to collaborate with the Youth Assembly across multiple areas and jointly build a platform that supports the development of young people in both countries.
Jumurbayev thanked PKU for its hospitality and outlined the background and development of the Youth Assembly as a national youth platform in Kazakhstan. He said Kazakhstan places great value on cooperation with Chinese youth organizations and expressed readiness to learn from PKU’s experience and expand exchanges and resource sharing with Chinese youth.

Following the meeting, the two sides held a symposium on innovation and entrepreneurship education and visited PKU’s Global Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. The event was also attended by representatives of relevant PKU faculties and administrative departments.
