Peking University, Jul 27, 2026: On July 23, Indian Ambassador to China Vikram K. Doraiswami visited Peking University (PKU), accompanied by Minister Shweta Singh. He Guangcai, chair of the Peking University Council, met with the delegation at Linhuxuan. PKU Vice President Fang Fang also attended the meeting.
He Guangcai welcomed the delegation and introduced PKU's history and its development of Indian studies. He noted that PKU has a long tradition of academic and cultural exchanges with India and expressed hope for deeper cooperation and stronger youth exchanges between the two countries.
Ambassador Doraiswami praised PKU's achievements in Indian studies and student training. He expressed his willingness to promote broader cooperation between Indian universities and PKU and to strengthen educational and people-to-people exchanges.
