Peking University, Oct. 8, 2019: On the afternoon of September 25, Professor Xiao-Fan Wang visited Peking University and took part in the panel discussion related to the evaluation of talent and institution of world-class universities.
Xiao-Fan Wang, the Donald and Elizabeth Cooke Professor of Cancer Research, is a tenure-track professor in the School of Medicine at Duke University. At the same time, he is one of the foreign members of Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Before the meeting, Peking University President Hao Ping greeted Professor Xiao-Fan Wang warmly and expressed his wishes of deepening the reform in advanced education systems.

At the panel, Xiao-Fan Wang first analyzed the progress and existing problems in the reform of the science and technology education system in recent years. Combined with some cases, such as the Center for Life Sciences, a pilot program jointly organized by Peking University and Tsinghua University, he shared his unique insights towards how to deepen the reform of the personnel system and promote the intersection and integration of disciplines.
