Delegation from LSE visits Peking University

Peking University, Nov. 23, 2019: Dame Minouche Shafik, director of the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), paid a visit to Peking University on November 21.
Hao Ping, president of Peking University, together with other faculty members, met with the LSE delegation.
Hao Ping expressed a warm welcome to the delegation, saying that LSE enjoys a high global reputation. Peking University and LSE have carried out extensive and deep cooperation, including dual-major programs in international relations and politics. Every year, the summer school programs co-organized by the two universities attract over 500 students from more than 30 countries and regions. Hao Ping hoped that the two universities would further deepen their cooperation and communication, thus promoting China-UK exchanges in education.
Shafik said that Peking University had a long history and world-famous excellence in education, and she is glad to witness the achievements fostered by the long-term cooperation of both sides. Shafik also believed that this visit would surely advance bilateral cooperation in more fields.
The two sides signing the agreement
The two universities signed a cooperation agreement on the LSE-PKU dual-major program for master students in environmental policies, technology, and health. The delegation of LSE also communicated kindly with students and professors from PKU School of Government Management and School of International Relations.
